New Paltz, NY – Competing in their final dual match of the season before heading to the NCAA Tournament in two weeks, the Hawks couldn't get things going against New Paltz, falling 8-1 in a women's tennis match Friday night in New Paltz, NY.

Junior Evgeniya Kim (Flushing, NY/Cardozo) earned the Hawks only win on the day, taking first singles 6-4, 6-4 for her 15th win of the season. The New Paltz Hawks were able to sweep doubles and take five of the six singles matches to earn their eighth win of the season.

Hunter will remain in New Patlz to take part in the Hawks annual tournament on Saturday. Hunter will then find out in two week where they will be heading in the 2009 NCAA Tournament.
