Mallory Grubler (Bayside, NY/Cardozo) put up a 15 kill, .314 hitting performance including some big plays in the final set as the Hawks were able to defeat the Baruch Bearcats 3-2 (19-25, 26-24, 14-25, 25-19, 15-8) in the first match of the CUNY Athletic Conference Multi-Match held at York College in Jamaica, NY.

Following today's victories, the Hawks go to 2-0 in the CUNYAC and are 4-5 overall. They will look to remain unbeaten in conference play when they head to Lehman on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. match.
