On Thursday, October 7, the women's tennis team took on the Bloodhounds of John Jay in a conference matchup held at York College. For the sixth time this season, the Hawks swept both the singles and doubles matches, holding their opponents winless and taking a 9-0 victory. With the win, Hunter advances to 10-0, 8-0 CUNYAC while John Jay drops to 4-7, 4-3 CUNYAC.

The Hawks played a different lineup for the match as they sat their usual first and second singles players in Epraksi Yushkova and Jane Selegean, and replaced them with Jennifer Kraham and Arielle Kamin. Filling out the rest of the order was Stefanie Smith, Olga Chagin, Katyhara De Los Santos and Angelique Petropouleas, all of who won their singles matches in two sets.

In doubles play, Kamin and Smith defeated their opponents 8-4 while the teams of Kraham and Chagin, and De Los Santos and Petropouleas were also successful, 8-0 and 8-1 respectively.

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, October 13 when they play their final home match of the season against Richard Stockton at the USTA Tennis Center at 3:30.
