Eric Klingsberg (Queens, NY/Holy Cross) each scored a game high 28 points to lead the Hawks to their biggest route of the season, a 108-82 victory over John Jay College in CUNY Athletic Conference men's basketball action Friday night at the Doghouse.
Rubino finished tonight shooting 64.3 percent from the field and went 7-for-7 from the free throw line, while
Klingsberg 10-of-15 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line. As a team, the Hawks went 25-of-32 from the free throw line for 78.1 percent.
Hunter, who used their full 11-man roster tonight, had each player score at least a basket in tonight's game. Junior guard
Maxwell Dubois (Hollywood, FL/Dillard) contributed to tonight's victory with 15 points and five boards, while junior guard
Mark Courtien (Pelham, NY/Pelham Memorial) 13 points.
Following tonight's victory, the Hawks are still clinging to fourth place in the conference with a 7-5 record (11-13 overall). Hunter will close out the regular season on Sunday when they head uptown to face the City College of New York at 4:00 p.m.
