On Tuesday, September 21, the womens volleyball team visited the Bloodhounds of John Jay for a conference matchup. It only took three sets to decide the winner as the Hawks won handily to improve their record to 4-3, 4-0 CUNYAC, while John Jay falls to 1-8, 1-3 CUNYAC.

In the first set, the Hawks tallied 13 kills and just four errors as they reached the 25 point mark first to go up 1-0. It was the same story in the next two sets as Hunter dominated, putting together 16 kills on four errors. Defensively, they held John Jay to just 12 and 11 points respectively in each of the last two sets.

Junior, Mallory Grubler posted a game high 16 kills, had a hitting percentage of .682 and collected 11 digs while teammate Katina Boutis was credited with a game high 20 assists.

The Hawks are back in action this weekend as they take part in the two day long NYU Tournament.
