MAHWAH, NJ - The Hunter College women's volleyball team was defeated by Ramapo College in four sets in the first round of the 2011 ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament.

The Hawks got off to a great start in their attempt to avenge their regular season loss to the Roadrunners, winning the first set 25-23. But Ramapo came right back and won three straight (25-17, 25-21, 25-20 ) to end Hunter's 2011 season.

Christine Luebcke led the offense with 10 kills and Mia Alexis De Claro tallied 34 assists, but the Hawks managed just .093 hitting for the match - despite errorless .375 hitting by Taylor Kordich. Alisa Jaganjac registered 30 digs on the defensive side as Kordich and Lucia Stosic each had three blocks.

Hunter ends the season with a 21-12 record, while Ramapo travels to Elmira, NY for the Semifinal Round this Saturday.
