Flushing, NY- On Friday, April 22nd, the women's tennis team had a non-conference match up against the Hawks of SUNY New Paltz in preparation for the NCAA Regional Tournament. New Paltz overpowered the Hawks as they walked away with a 7-2 victory. With the loss, Hunter falls to 15-6 while New Paltz improves to 15-4.

Junior Epraksi Yushkova and freshman Jane Selegean teamed up for first doubles as they defeated the duo of SUNYAC Champions Stephanie Schara and Lindsey Garyn 8-4.  Yushkova went on to easily win her first singles match with by a score of 6-2, 6-1, giving Hunter their only win of the day as New Paltz swept the rest of singles slots. 

The women are back in action when they travel to New Paltz, New York to compete in the SUNY New Paltz tournament on Saturday, April 30. They Hawks' first match of the tournament is set for a 9:30am start against SUNY Plattsburg.
