NEW YORK, NY - The Hunter College women's volleyball team defeated Baruch to win their third straight match and jump to the top of the CUNY Athletic Conference standings undefeated.

The Hawks swept the Bearcats 25-22, 26-24, 25-16 in a hard-fought match that may have been a prelude to the CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Championship Final Match in November. Strong offense performances by Mallory Grubler, Paulina Jobczyk, Katina Boutis, Karolina Krauze, and Christine Luebcke silenced the home crowd while Alisa Jaganjac anchored the defense.

It was the third-straight sweep victory for Hunter (4-3, 2-0 CUNYAC). It is also the Hawks ninth straight victory over the Bearcats, including three straight CUNYAC finals.

The Hawks are back in action against CUNYAC rival Lehman College in the Bronx on Tuesday, September 13th at 6:00pm.
