NEW YORK, NY - The Hunter College women's volleyball team was defeated in four sets by the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey to open the second day of the 2011 NYU Violet Classic.

After a hard-fough 33-31 defeat, the Hawks dropped the second set 25-14. They rallied with a 25-21 victory, but were outlasted 25-10 in the final set.

Christine Luebcke led the offense with 13 kills for the match.

Hunter (8-5, 4-0 CUNYAC) faces Eastern University (13-1, 2-0 Freedom) at noon, currently ranked fifth in the AVCA Division III Top 25 Poll.
