NEW YORK, NY – The Hunter College women's volleyball team swept the visiting Brooklyn College Bulldogs in three straight sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-10) at the Hunter Sportsplex Tuesday evening to remain undefeated in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
With the victory, Hunter improves to 9-6 on the year and 5-0 in the CUNYAC while the Bulldogs drop to 6-6 on the year and 3-1 in conference action with tonight's defeat.
The Hawks hit .279 in today, committing just nine attacking errors while amassing six team blocks. Conversely, Hunter limited Brooklyn to a -.074 attacking average as the Bulldogs committed 19 attacking errors and were limited to zero blocks.
Senior Christine Luebcke led the Hawks with 10 kills and paced the team with three service aces while freshman Paulina Jobczyk added eight kills at an impressive .538 clip.
The Hawks dominated early and often in today's contest, outmatching the Bulldogs in tallied assists (30-13), service aces (11-3) and kills (33-14).
Hunter returns to action on October 5th when they travel to Kings Point, NY to take on the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
