NEW YORK, NY - The Hunter College women's volleyball team picked up their first home win of the 2011 season by sweeping NYU-Poly in three sets (25-18, 25-15, 27-25).

The Hawks combined for eight blocks and recorded 49 digs on their way to holding the Blue Jays to just .027 hitting for the match. Christine Luebcke led the offensive effort with 10 kills, while Mallory Grubler added nine. Katina Boutis and Mia Alexis De Claro split setting duties and recorded 17 and 11 respectively.

Hunter (2-3) begins CUNY Athletic Conference play this upcoming weekend as they head south on Lexington Avenue to Baruch College for the first CUNYAC Multi-Match of the 2011 season. The Hawks will face CCNY at 10am and host Baruch at 2pm. this Saturday, September 10th.
