BROOKLYN, NY - On Saturday, September 29th the Hunter College women's tennis team travelled to Brookyln College to take on the Bulldogs in a conference match.  The Hawks fell 5-4, dropping their record to 3-3.  With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 4-2.

The Hawks only win in doubles came at third, where sophomores Caroline Kaleda and Beth Chapnick topped Brooklyn's Gianna Gelosi and Maryanm Razaz 8-6. 

In singles play, Kaleda battled through a tough three setter at second singles to come out on top, with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.  Chapnick eaisly disposed of her opponent in the fourth slot 6-2, 6-2.  Freshman newcomer Sara Beck won her 5th singles match 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 to give the Hawks their fourth and final win of the day.

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, October 3rd when they play host to the Cardinals of York College at 3:30pm.
