Men's Basketball Gets Back On Track with 75-64 Win Over Camels

NEW YORK, NY - On Tuesday, December 4th the men's basketball team played host to the Camels of Connecticut College in a non-conference match up.  The Hawks dominated the court, grabbing their 3rd victory of the season with a 75-64 score.  With the win, the Hawks improve to 3-5, 0-2 CUNYAC while the Camels drop to 2-5.

Tied at 27-27 with four minutes left in the first half, freshman Brian Kruger hit a three-pointer and the Hawks never looked back as they led by 12 going in the half time.

The Hawks deemed too strong for Connecticut in the second, leading by 19 with seven minutes left in regulation.

Freshman Taulant Ibrag led the Hawks with a team-high of 15 points going 5-10 on the floor.  Sophomore Matthew Hunter and Freshman Ben Mayell both netted 11 points adding to the 75-64 victory.  Mayell went 5-6 behind the arc.

Junior Lorenzo Brown totaled 13 rebounds while teammate Kruger reached double digits with 10 points. 

Connecticut's Matt Vadas led the camels with a game-high of 18 points and seven rebounds. 

The Hawks are back in action when they host the Cougars of Medgar Evers at Homecoming on Friday, December 7th at 8:30pm.
