Women's Basketball Dominates Cougars at 2012 Homecoming

NEW YORK, NY - The women's basketball team dominated the Cougars of Medgar Evers tonight at the 2012 Homecoming with a score of 76-20. With the win, the Hawks improve to 2-5, 2-1 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 0-10, 0-3 CUNYAC.

Hunter started out strong, having a 36 point lead going into half time.

Junior Nicole Lenard led the Hawks with a game-high of 17 points going 6-14 on the floor. Senior standout Kim Hirten was right behind her with 16 points and eight steals while sophomore Dimitra Thomopoulos had 10 points and 6 rebounds.

The Cougars were led by Antanique Williams who totaled seven points and four rebounds.

The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday, Decemeber 11th when they travel to John Jay College to compete against the Bloodhounds in their fourth conference game of the season.
