New York, N.Y - The women's volleyball team played host to the CUNYAC Multi-Match, featuring the Hawks, Medgar Evers, and Staten Island. The Hawks went undefeated for the day, not dropping a single set defeating the Cougars 3-0 (25-3, 25-10, 25-15) and the Dolphins 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-13). Win the wins, the Hawks improve to 11-8, 6-1 CUNYAC.
Against the Cougars, the Hawks were led by
Taylor Kordich, who had eight kills, seven assists, four service aces, two digs and two blocks.
Kristine Ciurcina tallied 14 assisits to go along with 10 service aces.
Karolina Gajda and
Lisette Martinez each chipped in with four kills a piece.
During the Hawks match against the Dolphins, this time is was Stosic who led the Hawks with 10 kills, two service aces, two digs and five blocks. Ciurcina recorded 19 assists while
Stephanie Taibe had eight kills.
The Hawks are back in action on Thursday, October 17th when they travel to Long Island to take on SUNY Old Westbury.
