New York, N.Y - The women's volleyball team dropped two matches this morning, October 26th to the Belles of Saint Mary's College 3-1 (15-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-25), and to the Red Hawks of Montclair State 3-1 (16-25, 23-25, 25-18, 13-25). With the losses, the Hawks drop to 14-11.
During the match against the Belles, the Hawks were led by
Taylor Kordich who had 11 kills, 18 assists and eight digs.
Stephanie Taibe notched nine kills, three blocks and five digs while
Rebecca Schell had nine kills, three digs, and three blocks.
Kristina Ciurcina had 19 assists while Alisa Jajanjac had 17 digs. The Belles were led by Kati Schiender and Katie Hecklinkski who each tallied 15 kills.
In the match against Montclair,
Karolina Gajda led the Hawks this time with 13 kills and 10 digs.
Lucia Stosic and
Brianna O'Hagan both chipped in with seven kills while Kordich had seven kills and 14 assists. Ciurcina recorded 18 assists.
The Red Hawks were led by Meliisa Terpstra who had 16 kills and 10 digs.
The Hawks are back in action on October 29th when they play CUNYAC rivals Lehman College.
