New York, NY - The women's volleyball team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-3) to move on to the semi-finals of the CUNYAC/Pepsi Championships.

The Hawks were led by Karolina Gajda who recorded a game high of 15 kills and five digs. Taylor Kordich was right behind her with seven kills of her own while adding 12 assists and three digs. Rebecca Schell tallied five kills while setter Kristine Ciurcina had 16 assists.

The Bloodhounds were led by Martina Hot who had a team high of seven kills and seven digs.

The Hawks will play in the semi-finals on Friday at the Hunter Sportsplex.
