Brooklyn, N.Y. – The women's basketball team saw their six game winning streak come to an end yesterday as they fell 56-16 to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College. With the loss, the women fall to 11-13, 9-6 CUNYAC while the Bulldogs improve to 19-5, 13-2 CUNYAC.
The Hawks struggled early on as Brooklyn held them scoreless for the first 12:26 of the game, going down 22-0 in the first half. Melina Seide would score the Hawks first basket for Hunter, but it was the only field goal they would get in the half as they went into the locker room trailing 31-7.
The second half proved no better for the Hawks, as they still couldn't find their groove on the court, only able to net nine total points and only four field goals.
Ayanna Hudson led all players with 15 boards in 35 minutes of action. The Bulldog's Saint Laurent led all scorers with 14 points.
The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday, February 12
th, when they host the Dolphins of CSI. Tip-off is set for 5pm.
