New Paltz Shuts Out Women’s Tennis, 9-0

Flushing, NY –
The women's tennis team at Hunter returned to action on Wednesday, April 3rd at the USTA National Tennis Center but lost to SUNY-New Paltz, 9-0.
 
The Hawks failed to win a match in either singles or doubles competition against New Paltz. In doubles play, the duo of Jane Selegean and Shena Joseph lost their match 8-6 competing at No. 1 doubles. Stephanie Ahwireng and Angelina Usherenko played No. 2 doubles but fell 8-1, while Gina Yeo and Dana Dotti teamed up for the No.3 doubles and also lost 8-0.
 
New Paltz continued to dominate in singles play against Hunter as the No. 4, 5, and 6 singles competition all were defeated 6-0, 6-0.
 
Hunter (13-4) will look to bounce back on Saturday, April 6th when they host Oneonta State in Flushing, NY at 12:00 p.m.
