Women's Tennis Picks Up Three Wins at the New Paltz Doubles Tournament

New Paltz, NY - Hunter picked up three wins in doubles competition at the 2013 New Paltz Women's Tennis Tournament on Saturday, April 27th.
 
At No.1 doubles, Jane Selegean and Shena Joseph defeated Plattsburgh 8-5 in their first round of competition. In their next match against New Paltz, they lost 9-7, but bounced back with an 8-4 victory over Mount Saint Mary.
 
At. No. 2 doubles, Stephanie Ahwireng and Angelina Usherenko fell to both Plattsburgh (8-6) and New Paltz (8-5). The duo ended their doubles tournament with a win against Cortland (8-4).
 
At No. 3 doubles, Beth Chapnick and Caroline Kaleda dropped their first match to Mount Saint Mary (8-3), suffered an 8-3 lost to Plattsburgh in their next competition, and concluded with an 8-0 loss to Cortland.
 
The Hawks await their seeding for the 2013 NCAA Division III Tournaments that will begin on May 10th.
