New york, NY - Hunter's Alisa Jaganjac collected a game-high 10 digs, but the Hawks fell 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-12) to Simpson College in their second game of the NYU Labor Day Invitational on Friday, August 30th. Kristine Ciurcina added 14 assists and Stephanie Taibe led the Hawks with five kills.

The Hawks had a difficult time offensively with 16 errors against Simpson. Simpson recorded 44 team kills while Hunter had 19. Simpson's Tabitha Blaser had a game-high 16 kills and Katie Kieffer recorded 35 assists leading their team to a win.

In the first set, Hunter had seven errors and only eight kills.
Taylor Kordich,
Stephanie Taibe, and
Camille Newkirk all had two kills each behind
Kristine Ciurcina's five assists.
Alisa Jaganjac  led Hunter with six digs in a 25-13 defeat in the opening set.
Simpson continued to put the pressure on Hunter in the second set. Hunter only had four kills while Simpson controlled the set with 14 total kills. The Hawks fell behind 0-2 after an 11-25 loss in the second set.
Despite only committing three errors in the third set, Hunter was unable to battle back and dropped the final set 12-25.
Lisette Martinez and
Stephanie Taibe both assisted on a block
and Taylor Kordich, Lucia Stosic, and Brianna O'Hagan each had two kills apiece in the third set. Simpson had a game-high 18 kills in the third set, sweeping the Hawks 3-0.
