RESULTS

Staten Island, NY – The women's tennis team fell 6-3 to the College of Staten Island on Saturday, September 21^st in their CUNYAC season-opener.

Shena Joseph and Janani Bavanandan teamed up in No. 1 doubles play for an 8-5 victory. The College of Staten Island won the next two doubles matches, as Stephanie Ahwireng and Angelina Usherenko fell 8-4 at No. 2 doubles and Beth Chapnick and Abigail Rojas lost a close 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Hunter took the No. 1 and No. 2 matches but dropped the rest for a 6-3 defeat in their CUNYAC season-opener.

Continuing her dominance from her doubles match, Shena Joseph picked up a second win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles. Stephanie Ahwireng won her first singles match of the season at No. 2 6-4, 6-1.

Hunter returns to action on September 25^th for a home match against Brooklyn at 4:00 pm.
