Women's Volleyball Picks Up Win Against John Jay

New York, N.Y. - The women's volleyball team picked up their sixth with of the season against the Bloodhounds of John Jay on Thursday, Septemper 26th at the Hunter Sportsplex.  The Hawks defeated the Bloodhounds with a clean sweep, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-11).  With the win, Hunter improves to 6-6, 4-1 CUNYAC while John Jay falls to 2-9, 1-4 CUNYAC.

The Hawks were led by Brianna O'Hagan, who had 10 kills on 22 attempts, five serice aces and four digs.  Taylor Kordich and Stephanie Taibe chipped in with six kills a piece while Lucia Stosic and Rebecca Schelle had five. 

Setter Kristine Ciurcina tallied 16 assits for the day while Kordich added 11. 

The Bloodhounds were lead by Martina Hot, Ashley Diaz and Qendressa Efendija who all recorded four kills each.

The Hawks are back in action this Saturday, September 28th when they compete in the Baruch Invitational.  Hunter is slated to play Ramapo College at 11:00am and Richard Stockton at 3:00pm.
