New York, N.Y – The men's basketball team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay on Wednesday night, 79-76.  With the win, the Hawks improve to 9-10, 5-6 CUNYAC while the Bloodhounds drop to 8-10, 6-4 CUNYAC.  

Frankie Drayton netted a team high of 30 points and grabbed eight boards. Lester Anim scored 15 points while Eric Kippins scored eight.

After being down by 11 at half time, the Hawks were able to close the gap with Drayton scoring 19 out of his 30 points in the second half. The score was tied a 76-76 with 50 seconds remaining in regulation. Brian Kruger had three good free throws and a jumper by Drayton gave the Hawks a four point lead and the game.

Korede Griffith scored a game high of 33 points for the Bloodhounds.
