Hawks Fall 67-51 To Rutgers-Newark

BOX SCORE NEWARK, NJ - The Hunter Hawks took on the Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders on Tuesday afternoon, losing 67-51 in a non-conference matchup. The loss drops the Hawks to 2-8 on the season.

Kirsten Markoe led all scorers with a season-high 29 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, she was the only Hawk to reach double figures in points. Markoe was on fire from the field going 10-of-14 including 3-of-5 from behind the arc.

Dimitra Thomopolous chipped in with eight points, while Joey Chan scored six points while dishing out five assists.

The Hawks return to action January 2 when they will take on CUNYAC foe John Jay College at 5pm. The game will be played on the campus of the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
