New York, N.Y - The Hunter Hawks men's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers College 87-72 on Friday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

The Hawks were led by senior Lester Anim, who was honored prior to the game, with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Brian Kruger scored 18 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point land. Jerrell Antley scored 10 points and dished out six assists.

The Hawks led the Cougars by 18 at halftime thanks to the hot shooting of Anim and Kruger who combined to go 7-for-7 from 3-point land in the 1^st half. The team finished the game shooting 12-of-20 (60%) from behind the arc.

The Cougars were led by Mark Hudson who scored 18 points. Valin Williams notched a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Khalid Yousef scored 13, while Pablo Segura scored 10.

The Hawks return to action Tuesday February 18^th when the travel to Queens to take on York College in the final regular season game of the year. Tip-off is 8pm.
