New York, N.Y – The women's basketball defeated the #1 seed CSI 74-65 to advance to the finals of the CUNYAC Championship, the first time since 2010.

The Hawks started off with a commanding 8-0 lead in the first four minutes, and steadily raised their lead being up by 11 points with 11 minutes remaining in the half.

The Dolphins quickly chipped away at that lead in the second half, taking the lead with fifteen minutes left up by four. The Hawks quickly answered back with a layup from Ayanna Hudson, followed by a layup by Kristen Sells and a jumper by Nicole Lenard, the Hawks took back control of the game.

Hunter was led by Lenard with 24 points, four assists and five rebounds while Kristen Markoe had a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards. Racquel Baudanza netted 13 points while Sells added 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Hawks will go on to play Baruch College in the finals on Friday, February 28^th at CCNY.
