BOX SCORE BROOKLYN, NY – The Hunter men's basketball team lost 75-58 to Brooklyn College on Wednesday night in a CUNYAC matchup. The Hawks fall to 6-9 overall and 3-4 in CUNYAC play.
Jerrell Antley came out strong, scoring 17 of his game-high 26 points in the first-half. The Bulldogs went ahead by as much as 10 points in the first half.
The Hawks used a 15-2 run over the next few minutes to take a 34-31 lead with 2:23 left in the half. During the run, five Hawks scored a basket. Antley would sink two free throws to end the half tying the game at 36
Both teams kept it close early in the second half but eventually the offense would shut down in the second half for the Hawks as they managed to shoot 26% from the field in the final 20 minutes of play.
Antley led all scorers with 26 points and was the lone Hawk in double figures for the game.
The Hawks return to action Friday night when they will host Lehman College in a CUNYAC matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
