Hawks Go 2-2 At Yeshiva Quad Meet

NEW YORK, NY – The Hunter women's fencing team participated at the Yeshiva Quad Meet on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks took on Queens College, CCNY and Yeshiva University, going 2-2 in their four matchups.
 
The Hawks first took on Queens College losing 3-6 in the epee and 4-5 in the foil before taking a 6-3 decision in the saber, but it wouldn't be enough as the Hawks fell 14-13.
 
Against the hosts, the Hawks dominated all three weapons going 7-2 in epee, 8-1 in foil and 6-3 in sabre to win 21-6.

The Hawks came back sweeping the foil and sabre matchups 9-0 each to win 20-7 over LIU-Post.
 
Against CCNY, the Hawks couldn't overcome a 14-4 deficit in the sabre competition as they lost 14-13.
 
The women's team returns to action on February 1 when they will participate in the Eric Sollee Invitational at 9am.
