"Our Quarterfinal match was played as planned, focused on serving York well and running our offense efficiently on free balls. Our squad is very disciplined in executing game plan, which is great!"The match was a game of runs and unanswered points with the Hawks on the favorable end of the tape. In the first, they went on two, 6-0 runs and then closed out the set with eight unanswered points; four of them coming off of service aces from Hogan. In similar fashion, Hunter jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second and then rattled off nine points to make it 18-4. A 7-2 run capped the second as they headed into the third and final set. Once again, an 11-1 run set the stage for a 13-6 mid-match score. The Cardinals advanced their score to 12, their highest of the match, but it would be all they earned as two attack errors from Renee Daley put the nail in the coffin.
