BOX SCORE BROOKLYN, NY - The Hunter men's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers College 75-61 on Tuesday night improving their record to 8-13 overall and 5-8 in CUNYAC play.
The Hawks jumped out early on the Cougars with hot shooting in the first half, 56% from the field and 53% from 3-point land to take a 50-39 lead into halftime.
Jerrell Antley led the offense, scoring 22 points, dishing out five assists and grabbing four rebounds.
Brian Kruger added 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc and
Bryan Silvera chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds in just 19 minutes of play.
The Hawks were excellent sharing the ball totaling 19 assists as a team on 25 made field goals.
In the second half the Hawks were able to lock down on the defensive end holding the Cougars to just 25% shooting in the final 20 minutes.
The Hawks return to action Friday February 6 when they will host CUNYAC foe Brooklyn College at the Sportsplex. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
