New York, NY
- Hunter College women's swimming got a win over Baruch College on Friday with a score of 60-35. The Hawks are now 8-1 overall and 4-0 in CUNYAC play.

Hunter started the day with a new personal record in the 200 medley relay as Carla Canning, Madeline Hew, Alexandra Rubiano and Lindsey Pero posted a time of 1:57.72 for a first-place finish.

Jessica Lou placed first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:12.33, while Hew took home first-place in the 50 yard freestyle. Rubiano posted a new season-high in the 200 yard IM, taking first with a time of 2:21.76.

Canning broke her own school record in the 100 yard breaststroke, finishing first with a time of 1:11.07.

"We didn't rest at all this week as we are still in the middle of winter training so to them posting fast times says a lot about what we expect at the end of the season when they are rested," said head coach Scott Binter. "We have a team that is dedicated and puts in the effort and that is showing as they continue to improve their times, even when swimming tired."

The Hawks will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 12 when they travel to Adelphi University.
