New York, NY - Hunter College men's basketball fell to York College on Friday night with a score of 82-60 in the Hunter Sportsplex. The Hawks are now 1-5 in CUNYAC play.
Brian Kruger scored a game-high 17 points in the loss, while
Gerard Carty followed with ten points. The team shot 22-58 from the floor for a 37.9 shooting percentage.
The Hawks were able to keep the score close for much of the first half, leading by as much as five points with ten minutes left, but the Cardinals quickly pulled ahead, leading 40-27 at halftime.
The second half began and the Cardinals never looked back, immediately going on a 10-3 run. York led by at least 20 points for the last ten minutes of the game as the Hawks eventually fell with a score of 82-60.
Hunter will return to action on Monday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. when they host NYU.
