Madison, NJ - The Hunter women's fencing team competed in the Drew University Fall Classic this past weekend. The Purple and Gold went 1-4 on the day after snagging a win over LIU-Post (13-6) while falling to CCNY (14-13), Drew (21-6), The College of New Jersey (19-8) and Temple (22-5)

The sabre quartet comprised of Tasnim Halim, Michelle Rangel, Lianne Doctor and Alexandra Van Zant saw the most success on the day. They blanked CCNY (9-0) and won convincingly over LIU-Post (8-1) and TCNJ (7-2). They narrowly edged Temple (5-4) but lost a close one to Drew (5-4). The epee trio of Leslie Campbell, Christina Fedorov and Alina Akchurina managed to squeeze out one win on the day against LIU-Post (5-4). 

The Hawks return to action when they compete in the Vassar College Invitational on Sunday, November 13 at 10am in Poughkeepsie, NY.
