Game 1 Baruch Recap
Victoria Slavik powered the Hawks with three hits on the day while Erika Colangelo got the job done at the plate with three RBI's as well as in the circle. Slavik's RBI single in the first got the Hawks on the board early on. While keeping the Bearcats at bay, Colangelo stole third and scored on a Baruch miscue to make it 2-0 in the second. In the third, Slavik scored on a Briana Monaco single. Alana Vezza smacked an RBI double in the same inning to give her team the 4-0 advantage. Hunter manufactured four runs in the fifth beginning with another Baruch miscue. With the bases loaded, an error by the Bearcat's second baseman allowed everyone to advance, scoring Emily Ruiz. The final dagger was a base-clearing, three RBI single from Colangelo to put a cap on the 8-0 victory.
