BOX SCORE 2 New York, NY - Hunter College women's volleyball defeated John Jay College and Brooklyn College today, getting the two victories in three sets each.
With the wins the Purple and Gold improve to 4-4 overall and an undefeated mark of 3-0 in conference play.
In the win over the Brooklyn the Hawks went into three sets with scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-11.
Julia Connolly and
Taylor Kerr-Haiduk both led the team offensively, notching 13 and 12 kills, respectively.
Breanna Banske led the team with 21 assists, while Kerr-Haiduk added a team-leading 21 digs in the match.
Hunter moved on to defeat John Jay in three sets, featuring scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-10. Connolly's 13 kills led the Hawks over the Bloodhounds as Banske added 27 assists and
Haley Trunkett recorded a team-high of 19 digs in the victory.
Hunter will return to action on Tuesday when they host St. Joseph's - L.I. at 6 p.m. at the Hunter Sportsplex.Â
