BOX SCORE 4 New York, NY - Hunter College women's volleyball went 1-3 at the Ramapo Invitational this weekend, defeating Mount Saint Mary College on Friday.
Ramapo 3, Hunter 0
The Hawks fell in their first match on Friday, losing to Ramapo College in three sets with scores of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-21.
Taylor Kerr-Haiduk led the team in the match, recording 10 kills, while
Julia Connolly followed with nine.
Haley Trunkett led the defensive effort with 19 digs.
Hunter 3, Mount Saint Mary 0
The Purple and Gold came back from the loss to Ramapo by defeating Mount Saint Mary with a score of 3-0. Connolly tallied 14 kills as Kerr-Haiduk recorded ten kills and team-high 15 digs.
Fairleigh Dickinson 3, Hunter 2
The Hawks started Saturday with a hard-fought match against the Devils, falling 3-2 in a match with scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-19, 25-23 and 15-11. Connolly notched a team-high 21 kills as
Breanna Banske recorded 36 assists. Trunkett posted 36 digs in the close match.
New Paltz 3, Hunter 0Â
In the 3-0 loss to New Paltz on Saturday, Connolly once again led the Hawks offensively with 12 kills while Trunkett continued to pace the team on defense, leading with 15 digs.Â
The Hawks return to action on September 20 when they host USMMA at 6 p.m.
