BOX SCORE Bronx, NY - Hunter College men's basketball dropped a CUNYAC game to Lehman College on Monday night with a score of 79-57.
The Purple and Gold are now 4-2 in conference play and fourth in the league standings.
Poor shooting plagued the Hawks as they shot just 25 percent from the floor in the first half, in comparison to Lehman's 48.4 percent. The Lightning's hot shooting allowed them to lead 45-25 at the half.
Hunter regained composure in the second half, hitting 12 field goals with
Gio Gabbidon leading the Hawks with eight points. Despite out-rebounding the Lightning 22-15 and forcing seven turnovers, the Purple and Gold eventually fell 79-57.
Gabbidon led the team with 12 points and
Matt Franks followed with eight points and a team-high eight boards.Â
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 9 when they host the College of Staten Island at 7 p.m.
