BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 | BOX SCORE 3 | BOX SCORE 4 Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - Hunter College women's volleyball posted a solid record at the Skidmore College Classic this past weekend, going 3-1 on Friday and Saturday.

The wins help the Hawks improve to 13-3 this season, while they remain undefeated with a record of 4-0 in CUNYAC play.

On Friday the Purple and Gold defeated SUNY Cortland in three sets with scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-20. The Hawks held the Red Dragons to just a .055 hitting percentage, while Hunter hit .158 on the match.

Marlena Budna led the way with 11 kills, committing just one error for a team-leading .370 hitting percentage. Emily Wasson followed with eight kills and Taylor Haiduk added seven. Miranda Hogan posted 30 assists in the win as Haley Trunkett recorded a team-high 23 digs. 

Later in the day the Purple and Gold fell to host Skidmore in three sets, featuring close scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-17. The Thoroughbreds had a successful offensive match, hitting .290 and recording 41 kills to Hunter's 29.

Haiduk led the way with ten kills as Hogan posted 24 assists and Trunkett led with 13 digs in the loss.

On Saturday, the Hawks started out the day by sweeping the match against Lasell College with scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-13. The Purple and Gold recorded 40 kills and just 12 errors for a .322 hitting percentage in the victory.

Wasson led the squad with 10 kills and no errors. Hogan added 31 assists and Trunkett continued to pace the Hunter defense with 15 digs.

The Hawks closed out the day with a three-set win over The College of New Rochelle to go 3-1 in the two-day tournament.

For their efforts, Hunter's setter Hogan and libero Trunkett were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Purple and Gold return to action on October 4, when they travel to New Rochelle for a 7 p.m. match.
