Flushing, N.Y. - Hunter College women's tennis fell to conference opponent Brooklyn College on Wednesday afternoon with a score of 8-1.
The team dropped to 1-7 overall this season and 1-4 in league play with the loss.
The Hawks dropped all three doubles matches to start the day. The No. 3 team of
Daniela Yakobashvili and Initzor Sirojidinova came close to a win, eventually falling 8-3.
In singles play,
Donise Rose played a competitive match, sending it into a third set and then winning the tie breaker at the No. 4 court for a victory with scores of 6-4, 6-7 and 7-3.
The team returns to action on Friday, October 13 when they host St. Joseph's College of Long Island at 3:30 p.m.
