BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 New York, N.Y. - Hunter College women's volleyball got wins over Fairleigh Dickinson University - Florham and Montclair State University on Saturday in tri-match hosted at the Hunter Sportsplex.

With the wins, the Hawks improve their impressive overall record to 24-3 this season.

Hunter 3, FDU-Florham 0
The Purple and Gold started out the day with a three-set sweep over the Devils with scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-23.

The Hawks hit .203 in the victory with Marlena Budna leading the way with 12 kills and Julia Connolly following with 11. Miranda Hogan paced the Purple and Gold offense with 34 assists. 

The Hawks had a sold defensive effort as four player recorded double-digit digs with Haley Trunkett leading the squad with 24. Connolly added 18, Taylor Haiduk had 16 and Hogan chipped in 11. Budna earned a team-high six blocks in the win.

Hunter 3, MSU 1
Hunter finished off the day undefeated with a win over Montclair State featuring four sets with scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-18 and 25-13.

The highlight of the day was Budna's performance of a team high 11 kills and 13 blocks in the win. Budna committed just two errors for a .500 hitting percentage.

The team held the Red Hawks to a -.037 team hitting percentage, while Connolly added ten kills for Hunter in the match. Trunkett recorded 16 digs, while Hogan posted 34 assists and 14 digs for the Hawks.

The team will return to action on Tuesday, October 24 when they travel to Baruch College for a 6:30 p.m. match.
