Brooklyn, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer wrapped up the 2017 season on Wednesday night after a loss to #3 ranked Brooklyn College in the first round of the City University of New York Athletic Conference tournament.
The Hawks finish the year with a 3-13-1 overall record and sixth in the conference standings.
The Purple and Gold dominated the first half of the game, getting on the board 19 minutes in as
Aristofanis Ioannidis recorded a goal with an assist from
Jesus Patino Muniz. The Hawks led the Bulldogs 1-0 at halftime.
Brooklyn tied it up at the 55:42 minute mark and then struck again just four minutes later to get the 2-1 advantage. Despite the Hawk's best efforts, the Bulldogs secured the victory with another goal in the 71st minute.
Muniz led the squad with five shots, as Hunter totaled 10 shots to Brooklyn's 19 in the loss. Goalkeeper
Paul Alain Yovoh Tenfoung tallied four saves during his time in goal for the Purple and Gold.
