Brookville, N.Y. - Hunter College women's fencing finished up an invitational at LIU Post on Saturday, facing competition from FDU, Wagner, Drew, LIU Post and Wellesley.

The Hawks got a win over Wagner College before falling to the other schools. Stephanie Lucano helped capture the victory by taking to the strip when it was tied 13-13 and winning her first fencing bout ever in the epee.

Lianne Doctor and Michelle Rangel led the Purple and Gold with nine wins each. They both started the day undefeated against FDU, while Rangel went 3-0 against LIU.

Alexandra Van Zant and Tasnim Halim each had solid days, posting five wins each.

The team returns to action on November 12 when they compete in the Vassar College Invitational.
