BOX SCORE Bronx, NY - Hunter College men's basketball ended the 2016-17 season on Sunday afternoon with an 87-60 loss to Lehman College in the quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championship tournament.

The Hawks end the year with a 9-18 record, going 6-11 in conference play. 

Hunter took a lead off a Matt Franks basket three minutes into the game and was able to maintain it for most of the first half, going up by as much as  seven points. With the Hawks leading by one point with two minutes to play, Lehman went on a run to take control of the game, outscoring Hunter 8-0 in the remaining time to lead 40-33 at halftime.

Hunter's Amer Lukac led the squad in the first 20 minutes with 12 points. 

The Lightning came out with a hot shooting hand in the second half, immediately taking a 14 point lead in the first five minutes. The Hawks went on a run with points from Danny Fusco, Lukac and Jasmin Kolasinac at the 11:18 minute mark to trail by just eight points, but it was the closest the team would get as Lehman continued to find baskets. The Hawks continued to fall behind in the final ten minutes of the game, eventually getting a loss, 87-60.

Lukac and Mamadouh Sakho each tallied 14 points in the game, while Lowell Stevens chipped in ten points. Rebounding contributed to the loss as the Hawks recorded just 28 boards to Lehman's 49.
