Brooklyn, N.Y. - Hunter College women's tennis fell to first-place Brooklyn College on Wednesday in a close match with a final score of 5-4.
The Hawks are now 6-3 overall this season and 3-2 in CUNYAC, while the Bulldogs improved to 5-0 in conference play.
The Purple and Gold earned one win in doubles as
Yana Rabkova and
Liliko Chung defeated their opponents at the #3 court, 8-2.
Three Hawks won their singles matches, but it was not enough to get the victory after falling behind in doubles play.
Luisa Sujan remains undefeated at #2 singles, getting another win today with scores of 7-5 and 6-1. Chung and
Catherine Ng gathered singles victories for the Hawks at the #5 and #6 courts, respectively.
The team returns to action on October 13 when they host York College at 10 a.m.
