New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's basketball fell to SUNY Cobleskill on Tuesday night in their home opener with a score of 74-62.
With the loss, the Hawks have evened out to a 2-2 record this season.
The Fighting Tigers started by hitting four quick shots, but the Hawks composed themselves enough to get back into the game, trailing by just three points with 6:18 left in the first half. Cobleskill hit a three in the last minute of the half to help the Fighting Tigers earn back a ten point lead at halftime, 38-28.

Gio Gabbidon began the second half with five points for the Hawks, but the Purple and Gold struggled to stop Cobleskill from scoring as they went up by as much as 18 with four minutes of play left.
Karon Blackwell scored nine-straight points for the Hawks in remaining minutes to help them close the gap, however the Fighting Tigers sealed their victory with a free throw to win, 74-62.
Keener finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Gabbidon and Blackwell each posted 11 in the loss.
The team returns to action on Monday, November 26 when they travel to Mount Saint Mary for a 7 p.m. game.
