New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's volleyball improved to 8-0 in the CUNYAC on Tuesday after defeating Lehman College in four sets at the Sportsplex.
The Hawks are now 19-9 this season, while the Lightning dropped to 14-15 and 4-4 in the conference.
The Purple and Gold pulled out a close first set with a score of 25-21 before falling in the second, 25-21. The Hawks closed it out by getting a 25-16 third set win and then taking the fourth 25-21.
The Hawks recording a .279 hitting percentage in the victory, while holding Lehman to a mark of .098. Three played registered double-digit kills as
Blake Hogan led the way with 13 and
Matthew Zukowski added 12.
Qendrim Shala chipped in ten.
Daniel Dobrogowski led the Hawks by posting a team-high six blocks and adding eight kills, while
Cyrus De Guzman continued the Hunter dominance by recording eight kills and five blocks.
Joseph Muir tallied a team-high 13 digs and
Alec Helford followed with 11, while posting 48 assists in the victory.
The team returns to action on Thursday when they host Ramapo College at 6 p.m.
