BOX SCORE Brooklyn, N.Y. - Hunter College women's tennis earned its third victory of the 2018 season on Saturday, defeating St. Joseph's - Brooklyn in a sweep of 9-0.
The Hawks improved to 3-2 overall and remain 1-1 in non-conference play.
Doubles play featured three wins as
Maria Kogarova and
Luisa Sujan took the no. 1 court with a commanding score of 8-0. The duos of
Liliko Chung/Monika Zablolicki and
Catherine Ng/
Bernice Shi followed with wins at the no. 2 and no. 3 spots to give the Hawks the lead heading into singles competition.
The Purple and Gold finished off the Bears in singles, winning all six matches, led by Kogarova at the no. 1 spot. Ng and Shi each won their matches in their first competitions of the season.
The team will return to action on September 29 when they host the College of Staten Island at 12 p.m.
