New York, N.Y. - Hunter College women's volleyball extended their conference winning streak to 5-0 on Tuesday with a victory over John Jay College in three sets (25-16, 25-14, 25-15).
The Hawks improved to 8-10 overall this season and remain undefeated in the CUNYAC, while the Bloodhounds are now 2-11 overall.
Hunter reached their third-highest hitting percentage of the season with a mark of .330, while holding John Jay to .025.
Mariam Ouattara and
Alexa Sayson led the way for the Hawks with nine kills apiece. Sayson had just one error off 16 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage.
Kylie Hurst followed, posting eight kills in just two sets of play, adding six digs in the win.
Summer Magliochetti helped guide the Hunter offense by registering 20 assists, chipping in a team-high three service aces.
Sunghee Cho tallied ten digs in the victory to lead the Purple and Gold defense.
The team returns to action on October 18 when they face the University of Northwestern and Kean University.
