Glenside, PA – The #4 seeded men's soccer team put a close to the 2019 season with a 5-0 loss to top seeded Kean in the first round of the ECAC Championship hosted by Arcadia.
The lopsided affair favored the Cougars who out-shot the Hawks, 24-7 and put 16 of them on goal.
Noah Dougherty logged all 90 minutes in net and made a career high 11 saves.
Jonah Sampedro and
Jean Palacios both registered two shots and put each of them on goal.
Kean wasted no time getting on the board with two goals in the first half, both by Felipe Lucas. The first came in the eighth minute off a free kick with the second in the 19
th minute on an assist from Danny Guillen.
The Cougar's Nick Kovach struck in the 73
rd minute on an assist from Guillen to make it a 3-0 affair. Kean added to more goals late within two minutes of each other to cap the game at 5-0.
The Hawks put a close on their season with a final record of 8-8-2, 6-1 CUNYAC and a conference championship runner up finish.
